Modern Design Inc Review!

Recently I was contacted by Modern Design Inc to do a review on their Tungsten ring line. Tungsten rings are made of a rare and durable metal, that is extremely strong and nearly unbreakable. Unlike traditional metals such as gold, silver, platinum etc Tungsten is quite heavy and has a melting point of 6192 degrees Fahrenheit. Tungsten rings have become vastly popular for it's steel-like appearance and shine. Tungsten rings will look new for years to come, as they are scratch resistant which is a major bonus.

After finding out so many interesting facts about Tungsten rings, it was hard to make a choice, as Modern Design Inc had so many beautiful rings to choose from. I finally settled on the 'Polished Flat Tungsten Carbide Ring with Beveled Edges and Roman Numerals Engraving'.

Pros : As mentioned before, Tungsten rings are heavier than the average ring. I was pleasantly surprised, as it wasn't as heavy as I expected it to be; it has a nice weight to it and doesn't feel uncomfortable at all. I love the appearance of the ring, it has a timeless look and feel. A major plus for Modern Design Inc, is that their ring sizes ranges from 3-14 and have either 6mm, 7mm, or 8mm in width. Wonderful sizing options, if you're like me, who has larger and thicker fingers than most. I highly suggest  MDI, as a great option to shop for affordable rings.

Cons : Tungsten rings are targeted for men, and therefore the ring designs are masculine. This is one of three rings that I found to be unisex. I would've liked if there were Tungsten rings specifically for women, with classic and contemporary feminine designs.

Overall : I will definitely be placing future orders with Modern Design Inc, they have beautiful Tungsten rings at affordable prices, and they're customer service is excellent!

Baby Phat Review!

I was recently contacted by Baby Phat to a review for them. I jumped at this amazing opportunity as I've always been a big fan of the brand since early 2000. With their vibrant prints, bold colors, and keen eye for detail it's no wonder why so many women love Baby Phat. I was sent the "Cold Shoulder" blouse from their SS12 collection.

PROS : I am in love with the print of this blouse, it's so bright and fun. This is definitely a statement piece, that will go perfectly with the rest of my wardrobe. The fit is amazing, and hugs my shape instead of being clingy. It can be dressed up or down, and will brighten any outfit. This blouse is a size 3x (22/24) and fits true to size.

CONS : The only thing I didn't like about this blouse, was the humongous v-shaped split in the middle of the blouse. When I first tried it on, my chest was fully exposed and looked like there wasn't enough fabric to fill in the space. So you would most  definitely need to wear something underneath.

OVERALL : 4/5 - I would recommend this top to those who love to make statement with bold color. This blouse retails for $59 and is available to purchase at Macy's.

Celebration! : Review/OOTD

Yesterday was my birthday, and I turned the big 2-0 (eeekkk)! My family and friends dragged me out to celebrate with a nice meal in central London. Luckily for me I had the perfect dress to wear. The lovely Ozlem from IGIGI sent me the 'Elisa' dress, which is the most gorgeous dress ever created in my humble opinion! I had lovely time, and I want to thank everyone for the sweet birthday messages, and for those who came out to celebrate with me!

Elisa Dress

Dress (gifted) - IGIGI
Bag (gifted) - OneStopPlus UK
Shoes - Simply Be
Earrings - Claires

PROS :  I love everything about this dress! I love the simplicity of the dress, and the vibrancy of the chiffon bell sleeves. I feel like a woman in this dress, and I love how it compliments my figure. It's made out of this soft poly/elastane material, that falls elegantly into a A-line skirt which hits me just below my knees. It has a very generous fit, which makes it comfortable to wear and move around in with ease. This dress is very versatile, it can be dressed up or down, and you can also wear it off the shoulders.

CONS :  It's slightly too big for me, but it's nothing a tailor can't fix! I suggest you size down for a better fit.

OVERALL : Yes, I would definitely recommend you get this dress! It makes me feel like a million dollars, and it'll be my go to dress for special occasions!

*Disclaimer : I was not paid for my review, but was gifted a dress and this is my personal and honest opinion the about product.

Review : So Fabulous!

The lovely K&Co, were kind enough to sent me two items from the So Fabulous! range to review, and fabulous they are indeed! I chose the Embellished Neck Tunic and the Drapey Cover Up, which are now on sale at K&Co.

Embellished Neck Tunic

Sorry for the dodgy pic! I need a new camera :(

PROS : This tunic is made of a soft stretchy viscose material, and you can dress this top up or down, also the embellishment detail on the neckline is really eye catching. It has batwing sleeves which means you'll be able to move freely and stay cool. The fit is true to size and it also has an elasticated band at the end, so you can wear it long or short depending on your preference.

CONS : The embellishment makes this top really itchy/irritating. I don't know if it's me having a reaction, but it's really unpleasant. So I suggest wearing a tank top underneath to protect your chest.

OVERALL : 7/10 - Lovely top that is comfortable and great for the summer!

Drapey Cover Up

PROS : This cardigan is light weight, and made of a soft viscose material, which is perfect for summer if I want some coverage while staying cool. The colour is a lovely neutral tone which is on trend right now, and I love the tab details on the shoulders. The fit is pretty generous, and I would recommend sizing down because it's quite loose and flowy, unless you like the oversized look!

CONS : None!

OVERALL : 9/10 - I would definitely recommend the Drapey Cover Up, it's stylish and drapes beautifully!

So that is my review, and I hope you've found it helpful! Why not visit K&Co for a great range of ladies clothing (yep I'm totally encouraging you to shop!).

Swimsuits For All Review...

'Swimsuits For All' were kind enough to send me a swimsuit to review for them. Swimsuits For All, specialize in swimwear for plus-size women, with their standard range starting from size a US 8-16, and their plus-sizes starting from a US 18W-24; they also offer special sizes, starting from a US 26-34. They have a variety of swimwear, for everyone, and also offers swimwear accessories, such as cover ups and sarongs.

I chose the 'Slimming and Flirty Shock Waves Halter Swimsuit' by Penbrook, the style and colour is what caught my eye, and sealed the deal. Unfortunately, the swimsuit that I thought was perfect for me, didn't agree and didn't flatter my figure at all. But all hope wasn't lost, as it turns out, the swimsuit was perfect for my sister, and fellow blogger Lianna of 'Beauty Plus by Lianna'.

So here is her fabulous review, enjoy!

DollyMixx : My First Review

Hello dolls, I hope all of you are well! Thank goodness it's Friday! :D
So yesterday I received my prizes from the lovely Georgina of Cupcake's Clothes and it got here super fast, she posted it out on Tuesday, (as Monday was Bank holiday Monday). So it got here within two days and that is really good. The box was super cute, it had all these gorgeous little decorations and I didn't want to damage the box, so I was really careful when I opened it. I won 3 hair accessories, a bracelet, and a ring.

For those of you who didn't know, Georgina is the owner and creator of Dollymixx, which provides "a eclectic selection of fun jewellery and accessories." Her pieces are inspired by :

"Asian influences, and a love of food. Dolly Mixx aims to combine the two to create unique jewellery that you will love wearing!"

And oh how I love my new goodies! I am absolutely head over heels in love with my new ring, it is to cute! The only thing I would say is, while the ring is adjustable the metal is quite sharp so when you adjust it, the ring nips at your finger a little bit, other than that the ring is fabulous. Now I was quite sceptical about the bracelet fitting, because it looked tiny but to my surprise it fit and looks quite nice on me. The charms are delightful, there is even one heart charm that opens. The hair accessories are very girlie which I like, and I'll definitely be using them quite soon. I am definitely going to buy some of Georgina’s pieces they are of high quality at affordable prices, so go check out her website you won't be disappointed.

Front of the box - isn't it cute! Sorry if it looks dark, I took the pics on my BB

Back of the box

Front of the card - how cute is that!

Back of the card

The charms on the bracelet - excuse the hairy-ness lol

The pearl side of the bracelet

It is too cute!

Well ladies that is my review, and I hope all of you have an awesome weekend!
