On Monday, I had the pleasure of attending the exclusive preview of the new Clements Ribeiro 'Swan' collection for Evans. The event was in the afternoon, so I didn't really have to rush. When I arrived I was greeted by Carina and Claire the hostesses with the mostess! Both were lovely and they did a magnificent job of setting up the preview and the mini tea party. I also had the pleasure of meeting the gorgeous Diana from Plus-Size-Tall. She tried on the red dress and looked like a vintage queen.

Red Dress - £75

We chatted about the collection with Carina and Claire, and were soon joined by a few other fellow blogger beauties! I finally got to meet the beautiful Amy and gorgeous Becky, and I also got to see Naomi, Joanna, and Rosie again. I also got to meet Deena, who is one of my favourite bloggers of all times. I stumbled across her amazing blog over 2 years ago, and she's even more fab in real life! It's always nice to catch up with fellow bloggers and try on fabulous clothes!

I am in love with the Swan collection! At first glance (online & in person) I wasn't too sure about how it would look on a plus size body, but when some of the bloggers started trying on the clothes, I was blown away at how beautiful they looked in this vibrant collection. With eclectic prints galore in bright shades, the Swan collection is perfect for this SS12! What I love the most about this collection is that it's youthful and sophisticated, I feel it's very balanced in terms of variety of styles and shape. Clements Ribeiro remained true to their aesthetic and produced a collection that is quirky and fun, while catering to the needs of plus size women. I also love the fact that you can either mix & match or wear head to toe print. In my personal opinion, this is a beautiful merger between high fashion and high street.

Here's what Inacio Ribeiro had to say about their collection :

"For our first range we addressed the different body shapes, with styles which are accessible but modern, with an emphasis on prints and femininity. It was our starting point, understanding different proportions and different needs behind a desire for fashion that is not different from the high fashion consumer. Far from being apologetic or patronising, we celebrated curves and voluptuousness.

How cool is this dress form?!! The Evans design team put it together using some of the prints from the Swan Collection!

The Swan collection definitely has something for everyone, and when you wear this collection you definitely won't be a wall flower! The collection goes online tomorrow at 7am so get those debit cards ready (I know I will!), the collection is available in sizes 14-32 and prices range
from £40-£99 and will also be available in selected stores in April.

What do you think of the Swan collection?
Will you be buying anything from this collection?
Let me know what you think!!
