Love Your Body!

Why do we as society spend so much time criticising our bodies, trying to mould it into something "perfect"? Nothing in this world is perfect, nor will it ever be and that's what makes us human. We are constantly told by the media, that the way we look is not "good enough" for their standards. However, it's the mainstream media with their flawed vision that makes us think that there is something wrong with our bodies. Remember the H&M photoshop scandal?

So, if the professional models (who are on average size 0-2) who are in the magazines/ads don't really look like that, then why are we trying too? It's crazy how the media has us chasing our tails trying to be their vision of perfection, when they themselves can't even live up to their own standards.

I say to hell with their unrealistic standards, beauty comes in all sizes, shapes, and colours!  Life is too short to try and fit into someone else's mould. I'm never going to look like the models in Vogue, and that's okay because that is not the way my body was created. It has taken me so long to accept my body and finally realise that I am beautiful just the way I am, and I don't need anyone else's approval but my own.
We were not created to be perfect or to look perfect, and that's just our human nature. There is more than one body type, and I wish the mainstream media would celebrate diversity instead of limiting us to their distorted perception of "beauty".

Love, accept, and celebrate your body because it was created just for you! If we learn to accept ourselves for who we truly are, then life would be so much easier and enjoyable!Enjoy your life and don't worry about what anyone else has to say about you; as long as you're happy and healthy then that's all that matters.

Lot's of Love,

LaCara

This is great!
I've only very recently realized that I truly don't need anyone else's approval, especially about how I look. Since I decided that, I've been a lot more confident in general. It's a good feeling. :)
