Beth Ditto is coming....

By now you've probably heard that the second Beth Ditto collection for Evans, is going to be released within 3 days. You've probably also had little glimpses of what is to come, from the preview that Evans had on their blog, and the detailed picture that Valerie of Blog to be Alive posted. Well I was sent the press release, and it gives some great insight about the new collection and what we can expect.

DITTO’S DESIGNS OF THE DECADES

Have you heard the gossip? Beth is back for autumn, with her exclusive collection for Evans. Her new designs will be music to every curvy fashionista’s ears and showcase a mix match of styles and trends from different decades.

The exclusive range, shot by leading fashion photographer Chad Pitman, launches in September and reflects Beth’s inspirations from travelling the world for the past year. From vintage shops through to musical and fashion influences, the eagerly awaited second collection will be the designer collaboration to look out for in autumn 2010.

After such a groundbreaking launch last year, Beth has continued to work closely with Evans Head of Design, Lisa Marie Peacock. The collection includes unique twists on classic pieces whilst ensuring the cut, shape and fit work for the fuller figure. Among some of the designs is a red and black 60s chevron shift dress, a 70s ‘capigan’ and a 80s love heart print hanky hem asymmetric tunic. In addition there are some great accessories to complement the range that include vintage mesh ankle strap shoes, cameo belt and cracked silver mary janes.

Commenting on the exciting collaboration Beth says:

 “Working with Evans the first time round was a dream come true and this time the experience was even better than before. Getting a feel for what people liked and didn't like and working with the same wonderful team, I learned some new tricks and discovered a confidence in my instincts that carried over into this collection. There are some special, versatile pieces that I believe in and feel will change the way we look at our wardrobes and include staples to build your own strong look from standout items to wow and even some updated favourites from the last line. I know you will look as beautiful in these clothes as you do out of them. I am grateful to have the chance to design for you again.”

Wearable, fun and full of attitude, the new Beth Ditto at Evans is available from a size 14-32 in the following stores: Marble Arch, White City, Belfast, Manchester, Bluewater, Meadowhall, Liverpool, Glasgow, Dublin, Cardiff, Gateshead and Lakeside.
